chickencam Posted April 19, 2010 Share Posted April 19, 2010 What a fab weekend It was almost hot yesterday, we were outdoors all day. It is coolder today and it has taken a while for the sun to come through, but still very pleasant. Just to mark how late the season is though. Today is my DS's 14th birthday and this is the first time since the year he was born that there have been daffodils still in flower on his birthday. I associate daffodils with him as a baby. Last night the clouds built up and looked like a storm brewing but only a few spits of rain. Definitely dusty air outside - even my mum has noticed. chickencam Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 We had to water a couple of things at the allotment and our new turf in the garden last night. It was really cold as the sun went down. There is a cold wind today too, same as yesterday we had clear blue sky until about 10.30, now we have cloud. chickencam Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 I keep worrying about frost on the fruit tree blossom, we have cherry, plum and pear out at the moment with the appes about to burst too. I had to spend the first 25 minutes of my day watering my seedlings I am going to have to water the potatoes if this carries on or they will never grow.
