annettec Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I am so excited I have just ordered one of Omlets refurbished Cubes !!!! Just have to wait for the walk in run to be built ! I just hope it lives up to my expectations .We have loved the Eglu but wanted a couple of new chickens and it just wasn't big enough ! Does anyone know how we can put the Cube outside the run with a hole into the run? Does it just stand there or do people fix it to the mesh somehow? The cube will not need to be attached by anything it VERY heavy. please excuse the bad area around the WIR, it was just too bad weather to sort it at the time.. It shows it really well thanks We have a fox problem which so far have been safe with even with free ranging but i wasn't sure if the foxes would be able to move the cube as wasn't sure how heavy it is ! My Huswband originally made me the WIR with an eglu inside but I expanded the flock a little and changed to the a cube, mostly I have to admit because it's easier on my back to clean the cube than the eglu. Some have the cube inside the WIR, some have it outside, totally up to you These photos were after the WIR had been taken down, a cement base laid and then it put back up again after being repainted... poor hubby laid that base in bad weather. She said they had a few in stock at the moment, red and green ones. I am tempted to order a red one. BarbaraJ Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 Ours stands outside unattached not as neatly cut as Cookies but the roof slides inside (showed hubby her pic and said can i have something like that ) BTW i didnt have an eglu but i think the cube is great, so easy to look after and will fit plenty of chickens, i have 4 but feel theres plenty of room for more.
