Guest
Just joining in on commentators. I love it when John Motson is commentating. I've met him socially and he's a good chap and knows his football inside out.I like it when there's something amazing happening on the ptich & he tries to be restrained containing his excitement, it never quite works. Sometimes when I'm describing something (not football related ) I find myself lapsing into John Motson tones. "Which I find a bit worrying, to say the least, what do you think Gary?" you're dead right there Sheila!! Motty is king (apart from the legendary Ron Manager, that is!!) have you got the coat?? gooner.girl
Quick Tuesday Quiz... here's a pic of Supa Kevin Davies and Eboue.... which one has been charged with Violent Conduct by the F.A.?? Phil Philip, i shall rise above your teasing! (or at least til i can think of a decent comeback anyway.... ) However, I would just like to quote "Ooops, word censored!"ne Wenger today... “But we also want to remind people that we have been top of the Fair Play table twice in the last few years. Also this year we are the team who have committed the least fouls in the League and been the most fouled against." So don't you lot give me all the 'dirty "Ooops, word censored!"nal' rubbish! AnnieP
However, "Ooops, word censored!"ody on the radio this morning made reference to the fact that the Blue in the title and in Mr Blue Sky refers to Birmingham City and that Mr Blue Sky was written about Trevor Francis. Am I right? Is this proper trivia?? I believe so Dan: http://www.cwn.org.uk/skyblues/stuart-linnell/2001/011019-legends.htm Just bought ELO's greatest hits: Forgot what a great band they were! gooner.girl
2.59 Chelsea!!!! Talk about leaving it to the last minute!!! Did anyone see Paul Scholes attempt to punch the liverpool player??? - OH did but I missed it (was in the kitchen making sausage rolls!) Bet theres not so much fuss about that as last sundays antics, cos hes a Man. U player...
chelsea
exactly Helen, twill be all brushed under the carpet that will be Also, dont want to blight Schole's chances of being player of the year.....everyone thinks he should winner player of the season Man'ure will surely win the leauge......2 weeks in a row now and they have un-derservedly won in the last 3 mins. They have the luck this season . Typical, bloomin liverpool roll over for the "champions" at Anfield!
gooner.girl
Yup, too right re: Scholes, Chelsea! Man.U are the current media darlings... I supose, as i am resigned for "Ooops, word censored!"nal not to win the league now (!) it was good that Liverpool lost as it should be easier to get 3rd place... My OH hates Liverpool and let out a much louder cheer for Man.U's goal then he does whenever "Ooops, word censored!"nal score Having said that Man.U have all the luck, Chelsea win a fair amount of their games 1-0 with deflected free kicks in the last minute... Whereas "Ooops, word censored!"nal either win about 5-0 or go down in the last minute against the run of play.... (eg Blackburn on wednesday )
chelsea
We had more luck last season when we won. Man'ure are getting it all this season, they've had no injuries either. Anfield was the only place I could see them dropping points. You know I cant stand Liverpool, but today I was willing them to win My brother in law has tickets for Chelsea v spuds next weekend. he is a spuds fan and he's sitting in the Chelsea end....poor him !! I have warned him he MUST NOT stand up and cheer if spuds score (not that theres much chance of that )

I have warned him he MUST NOT stand up and cheer if spuds score (not that theres much chance of that ) No, the spuds only put 4 past rubbish teams like Bolton.... Come on you Gunners! 0-0 so far and our strike force today consists of Walcott and Baptista... I bet Reading are shaking in their boots... chelsea
I dont think reading are an easy team Helen. They are quite phsyical, as we found out at the beginning of the season, that why I predicted the draw. !! (sorry)
gooner.girl
I would have gone for a 1-0 Reading win (Steven Sidwell - ex gooner, to score in last minute ) but am trying to be positive and we HAVE lost our last 3 matches in a row so surely due a change in fortune??... Please God??!! Portsmouth - Cheslsea should be a good match!!!

chelsea
Cor! what about the hammers v spuds game Poor old West Ham, just as man'ure are getting all the luck - they are getting none, I hate the spuds and they scored the winner AFTER the allotted injury time how gutting is that Fair play to the hammers fans though - they were singing and applauding after the final whistle Bolton v Blackburn - was it 2 penalties Phil?? not very often 2 are awarded in a game
