I think I'm going to get a wir to attach to my cube.

I'm looking for somewhere that sells pre-made panels or does the whole thing for me, as neither myself or OH are diy gifted! Fox proofing is important feature too. I would be very grateful for any leads on where to look - in the East Midlands ideally. Thanks

Many on here, myself included, would suggest you make contact with a chap called Tony from Aviaries4U (http://www.aviaries4u.co.uk). He's based in Cambridge, but does deliver nationwide and will do the construction himself within a certain distance of his base. He provides custom built aviaries and is especially well known in the Omlet community for providing Chicken Runs for Eglu / Cube owners.

 

There are many examples of his work in the 'sticky' threads at the top of this section titled "We're all planning walk in runs!".

Am going to the chook show at Bakewell next weekend so will have my ear to the ground there and will report back on any in East Midlands

Unfortunately I can't afford a Tony the 12ftx6ft with a roof, skirts, cube attachment, delivery and construction is £600 . If anyone know somewhere that can do a run cheaper please let me know around £300.

Mine's from West Hagley aviaries, they aren't as a good a quality as Tony etc, but tis half the price and still does the same job

They do, do custom panels if you email/ring, so maybe see if you can order a 'cube panel'

Im getting a run built next week 18ft by 6ft, half price of Tony but this is because he is a local retired joiner, and I have a cube, I think you should look in you local paper for handy man, I intend to take pictures and post it for others to see. Shop around it can be done.

I look forward to your pictures Jackie - good luck with the build. I've been following all the WIR (didn't even know what WIR stood for at lunchtime) threads carefully - and getting to know all the characters (lol) - 40 pages of We're all building WIR thread have left me very keen to sort one out in our new garden.

 

But I also need a cube.... I'm keeping my eyes out!

Have a couple of gardeners coming round tomorrow who I can ask about putting down a base.

Forsham cottage arks are building a "Quicksafe" run for me next Monday, and they do a docking panel that fits to cube. There was an offer for free building and fitting when i ordered the run as well....although that may not be still on.

 

Best to ring and get a quote though as their web prices include delivery and were different if they build. Cheaper I think?
