AmberSky
Ordered some fluvenvet for my girls last week from chemist direct and it did not arrive so i called them last friday and was told it would come direct from warehouse and would definitely be here mon or tue. As it did not arrive today i called them on the phone and while i was on hold i was sent a email telling me it was going to be delayed due to short of stock (surely website should have known this days ago!) I was still waiting on hold 7 minutes later, so i hung up and called again now very annoyed. and cancelled the order and gave them a dam good telling off lol. so i am trying again and i have ordered it from animalmedicines.co.uk which is cheaper and free postage. chemist direct total £17.52 animalmedicenesdirect total £13.62 where does anyone else get it from also i would like some frontline spray but it seems it all is on prescription, is there anyway i can get some without one? Egluntyne
You can't get Frontline without a prescription.
The Dogmother
Have you tried your local vet? Some Countrywide stores sell Flubenvet.
Old Speckled Hen
Pet shops sell frontline but it's not licensed for chickens
rufusrooster
i got mine from here .. http://www.bestpet.co.uk/detailed_product.asp?id=69111
Tutti Frutti
animalmedicenesdirect total £13.62 That's a good price. I got my Flubenvet and 6 pack of Frontline Spot-On (for my cats) from www.petvetcare.co.uk but had to add VAT and postage (£2.50) and it came to £31. Thanks for the tip! Patricia W
We get Frontline on the internet for the dog and cat - without a prescription. OH orders it so not sure where but I'll find out. I've not tried with Flubenvet since the restriction came in, luckily we bought some before Tricia
laurmurf
mostin and i got ours from http://www.bowdenandknights.comordered at the National. Very quick service and good price. They also sell the 2.5% flubenvet, which is a little bit harder to get hold of, but much cheaper in the long run. they advertise in P P, and the tel. no is 01953 681830 edited to change the type of flubenvet - it got the cheaper/bigger tub from them, not the 'garden poultry' version Edited February 3, 2010 by Guest

GillC
I phoned my vets and they ordered in some flubenvet which I picked up. I think it was about £16. I also get frontline from the vet for the cats.
The Dogmother
I think I;m right in saying that regular Frontline is off prescription, while the Frontline Combo (which I use on the furry babies) is POM. Chucky Mama could confirm or deny that though.
Space Chick
Normal frontline can be sold most places (even my chemist sells it) however Frontline Combo (which protects the home too) need a prescription.
Redwing
Yes Frontline standard pipettes are no prescription but the spray is I also recommend Bowden and Knights Check the strength of the Flubenvet, the 1% comes in 60g packs and is easy to measure for the pet owner, the bigger 240g pack is 2.5% and comes with scary instructions regarding thousands of birds but the dose for smaller flocks is online (its on here somewhere a few times) the second pack will last you a lot longer for not much more money

Chucky Mama could confirm or deny that though. Frontline Spray and Combo are both prescription only medicines (no one can sell them legall without a valid prescripiton). Standard Frontline Spot On can be sold by licensed sellers.

Dont worry I guessed that, I was thinking of Tricias post where she says she gets it with no prescription but of course because its the normal dog/cat stuff there is no prescription needed

Egluntyne
It is available, but under a complicated licensing system.
laurmurf
Bowden and Knights were happy to supply the bigger 240g packs to garden keepers at the National - that's what we bought.
The Dogmother
I saw both packs at my vets when I last went, so they're still around.
Redwing
The company that owns Flubenvet did go all strict on it but have since backed down somewhat, I had to promise that I wouldnt sell the eggs or meat I think and that it was for my own personal use (so to speak!)
