I must admit that my lot like the freestanding Tony perch that I have. I've strung some branches up as well which they like.

My aunt is going to woodwork classes and wants to make a stand alone perch.

 

I really like the wooden roosting bars and have kept our old ones to try attempt to copy the idea!

 

If only the WIR was built and I could put ideas into practice

Yes, they do, quite happily . There's even room to spare if you peek in at night!

 

I don't think introducing one new girl is a good idea though, sadly .

Mine love their branch which was the trunk of an ornamental pear tree that we cut down last spring and they also have another level perch. I am sure that lots of perches makes a difference when introducing newbies because it gives them escape routes, plus they are all less bored.
