Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

In between bobbing at each other and mutual preening, our rooks are carrying twigs in their beaks and repairing their winter battered rookery.

I have been sorting my seeds this moring,making lists of what I need & getting ready to sow my first crops.

My Daffs are up,the Snowdrops look wonderful & I just had a young Stag saunter down the road past the house - spring is most certainly here

Not at all spring-like here - dark and raining

 

A few bulbs are poking their heads through in the garden, but no blooms yet.

I heard my first cock chaffinch at home yesterday, so spring can't be far away.

The birds are singing merrily and my DS is spring cleaning his room, which is quite shocking because he normally the biggest slob going, but he has been at it for over 2 days now There must be something in the air

The birds are definitely getting more frisky and singing a lot this week, both in the garden and at our wildlife site. And the bluebells are poking their heads through the soil too!

 

Spring is definitely in the air even if today it is rather damp and foggy here.

It was a lovely day here too, apart from the ill son I went into town with my two daughters wearing just a cardi (yes, was wearing other clothing too ) but no coat

A heavy frost today, but yesterday was lovely and sunny, snowdrops are out and the odd crocus popping through, and I heard a great-tit for the first time - spring is definitely on the way!
