My daughter Ellie entered a competition a few weeks ago to win tickets to see Mika in concert at the Manchester Apollo, and has just had confirmation that we can pick up the tickets at the box office, watch the concert and then go back stage to meet him

 

She is one happy girl

 

Now what to wear, where to park etc

I went to see him a couple of years ago at the Carling Academy, just when he was starting to be

 

Tickets were only £7 then ... bet he charges more than that now!

There's parking just across the road from the apollo.If you get there early enough,you can park on the road and it won't cost you a penny.

yes, you can just park on the road Karen. There is plenty of room. To the left of the apollo is a small park area. The road that runs just behind it is good to park and lots of side roads off it. It gets very busy so lots of people about so you will be quite safe.

I'm going to his concert at the Hammersmith Apollo at the end of Feb. Saw him 2 years ago and he's really good live!

Well what an amazing concert It was a real show, with so much energy and obvious enjoyment from all the performers

 

The record company rep was a star, ringing Ellie to check we had got all the directions and knew where to go, and that we had collected the tickets, then again to let her know when she would be able to meet Mika, and even at the end to check we knew where to meet her to collect our back stage passes

 

Mika himself was absolutely lovely, very sweet despite the fact that he must have been completely exhausted

Karen, he was absolutely great, wasn't he? I was with 4 screaming teenage girls right at the front and tickled massively by the "he looked right at ME" conversations on the way home. I agree, he was entertaining and charming and what a fantastic voice. Loved every minute.

 

I told my girls about your daughter and they all screamed in unison - did you see him afterwards? Do tell the details???? Very , and what a marvellous experience. Did mum get a look in?!
