Paola
OH is pestering me to ask you guys if you remember the tone that went with the BBC test card and the national anthem at the end of the day?
Cate in NZ
Oh wow, I must be really old . I remember that test card. And my Dad always used to stand up and salute (yes, seriously ) when the National Anthem played at the end of the days broadcasting. I rarely saw it, as a child I was packed off to bed well before, but there were a few memorable occasions when I witnessed it. My Mum used to get really miffed with him because he'd never go to bed until after the National Anthem, and then the litle white dot that faded into nothingness as transmission ended for the night. Chicken Licken
I remember the test card, and the white spot that fades out and the monotone sound too - am I showing my age (only 34). Looking forward to a new series of Life on Mars - had never thought of buying the boxset before!!!
Chicken Licken
ooh that sent me off on a tangent - as a child I used to be quite afraid of the girls toy clown - I have just checked him out on a website and I think my fears were well founded!!
