AJuff
When Oh is away working the boiler starts making very strange noises as if it's struggling and will pack up any moment, you find out DS is crawling with head lice, DD announces she wants to leave her fantastic fee paying school and return to her local school and the magic oven, washing machine, iron and fridge no longer work . . . . . . . Only another few days till he's home . . . . . . .

The Dogmother
Sorry to hear that My father used to travel a lot for work when we were little and my mother swore that everything waited to go wrong when he was away. His last trip was when the hurricane of '87 hit the UK.... he was away then!
ubereglu
Aww, poor you, sounds like you'll be rushing around. For the minute, head down and try and get things done...harder said than done I know, you'll get through it and I know you'll be glad to have him back even more now! AJuff
By the time I went to work this morning I had hung out a load of washing, put another load in, unloaded the dishwasher, made a lasagne for dinner and packed lunches for two. I put out the bin for collection, and reminded DS to take his football kit and DD2 her violin. Oh and I posted a birthday card to my father-in-law! At work my jobs list grew longer . . I almost came home for lunch to hang out the washing and prepare tomorrows dinner and get a head start but it didn't happen. Had a working lunch and crossed off a few jobs. Late meeting at work looking at the new Primary Curriculum . . . . . . . . . .then collected DD2 from a kind friend who had taken her to violin. Other two were at home when I got back DD1 had put the lasagne in . . not enough time to cook the broccoli but we ate the lasagne before DS had to be at choir and DD1 at her flute lesson. DD2 and I returned home and fed the brocolli to the hens, collected the eggs and baked cakes. After collecting DD2 from flute I took her to Guides and came back home to put DD! to bed. Almost have time to myself but DS is doing his reading now he's finished the kitchen duty. Busy day but i bet other people have days like mine every day too! Thank you for all you kind words and suppport. I think I'll go to bed now and read my book with a cup of hot tea.

The Dogmother
yet we all manage it while looking like that serene swan. My boss laughs when I tell him what I have managed before coming to work, and in my lunch hour. I don't think he believes me when I say that I come to work for the rest!
