patsylabrador Posted March 4, 2010 Share Posted March 4, 2010 We have been having problems with rats for last few weeks, I've cleaned up everything, disturbed the garden, all the things I have read to discourage them, but eventually bought a rentokil rat killer box. I put it down yesterday and now two cats have arrived and I think they're rat hunting. They dig and prowl along where I've seen the rats. I don't want to poison them so should I remove the bait box for a while? The rats appeared very suddenly and I think they came from next door where a lot of work has been going on, so hopefully they don't have an established nest. One hour later - I'm really pleased, managed to hit a big male rat with the rake. Sadly forgot to use pointy side, it was jumping at hedge sparrows. I was so cross!
