xraylady
Terrible ice storms in California in January, devastated the commercial rose growers, hence high prices & droopy flowers this Valentines Lots of desperate husbands going to be in BIG trouble today! Not my lovely husband though! What do women love as much as flowers? SHOES!! He took me to the shoe store - was very tempted by lovely strappy things - but am glad that middle age won out. Got some very nice trainers for work (I work in radiology at a hospital) and ooooohhhhh! did my feel good yesterday! I phoned him from work & told him that my feet are in love with him, (& other parts - not fit to print ) Everyone else at work very Shoes for Valentines! Top that! susan l
It's my birthday today, so i got lots of nice pressies, but my hubby bought me a small valentines gift - a mini frying pan for frying heart eggs into a heart-shape. awww. especially nice as he was not keen on getting the chooks in the first place and doesn't actually like eating eggs! bless. I also got shoes, some groovy trainers, but they weren't a valentines gift so they don't count on this topic....

Snowy
Happy Birthday Susan! I feel very mean - OH gave me a cup of tea in bed, followed by a lovely mushy card and a big box of Thorntons. What did I get him? Nothing! I'm convinced that we discussed it last year and agreed not to bother this year! Think I've got some serious grovelling to do! Lesley
At work today, one of the young lads received a phone call - it was from the other lads girlfriend. She wanted him to remind her boyfriend that he hadn't bought her anything yet - but not to tell him that she'd phoned We tried everything - but he was adamant because "we agreed not to buy anything" We said he could surprise her..... We said she'd still be very happy..... We said she might have bought him something....... He's going to be in so much trouble tonight
theherd123
I so would not want to be him tonight!!! My OH bought me a gold cross with a little diamond in the middle as my other cross broke a few months ago and i have felt bare without it! He is a very thoughtful chap & im very lucky! I sent him a VERY large Octopus of Love balloon to work which had to float above his desk all day in an open plan office of 30+ people! I also bought him some speakers for the ipod but they havent arrived yet!
