Poached Egg
... or another excuse for photos We recently got a Skyline who will hopefully start to lay in the next few weeks (and fingers crossed they will be blue/greenish although I am starting to think not). As ear colour is meant to be an indication of egg colour I wondered if anyone on here with a Skyline/Jasmine/Colombine would mind uploading a photo showing ear colouration and advising what egg colour is being laid. Many thanks Denise

Olly
I've got a Heritage Skyline ... but no eggs yet, so I can't help you! I do so hope they are going to be blue-green ... but anything other than brown would be nice!
Poached Egg
Thanks Cyclone is lovely and fab egg collection! Skye's ears seem to be a different colour on each side. One side seems a bit blue the other more cream/pink, but she is quite young still.

Poached Egg
Thanks everyone! Interesting to see the ear and egg colour variation and that there is still some hope for blue/greenish eggs We are also probably a bit further away from eggs than originally thought going by Skye's teeny weeny, pale comb - apx 1/4 the size of BarbaraJ's olive green layer Cookie - Skye is quite ear pic shy as well Olly - did I see on another thread that you got some of your chooks from Hen House Poultry as well?
