Valkyrie
Hah those not out and not me have gone to bed. Well Murray technically went to bed on the settee whilst in control of the remote as usual. We had fartichoke soup for lunch today - from the garden with home grown celeriac and carrots courtesy of Waitrose. I can honestly say that the red artichokes do not affect mum or me - but it's a different story with Murray we have both been giving him the Paddington Bear stare all evening. If he's making noises at both ends tonight I will not be held responsible for my actions. I haven't half had to catch up with all those pages! It's because it's the start of a new part and it boosts lots of enthusiasm. Gave up on Lost a long time ago, but I like Hurley the bestest. @ Debs Cross Parcels for Lewis. Hmmm lethalalollypop. I do get that - every few minutes or so. Awww dear liddle chicky so comfy there. Now back to more serious matters - HOW TO SHUT UP A CHICK Elastic band round the beak. Had Squirt in today because she was bokking at the robins nesting. She also boks at the blue tits (but she wouldn't have seen them last year because she was a chicky herself). So what does she do - she BOKKKKS for absolutely no reason. She's gone bonkers. She nearly got a rubber band wrapped round her beak. I put her back outdoors in case the cellotape fell into my hands. Noooooo I wouldn't do that. Might do it with Murray if he snores - now that's a thought. Zipping off shortly myself. Night you lot xxx

Valkyrie
I thought Claret had brought her chainsaw over for a visit - nope it's Snorey McSnoresnore again. Give up, can't sleep and Ciaran is still up. Looking on the bright side I'm checking parking for: http://www.squires-group.co.uk/home/index.php?option=com_squires&id=8&Itemid=1 Looks like a bit of a walk, but I shall go to our usual car park, short cut by the river (canal?), say hello to the duckies. Oooh she's just come home - just as well I'm up, Ciaran had locked the front door.

Falkor
Morning people! Very cute picture Sandie! Arrrh Kooj, I thought I was up early at 6am but OH had to take the in laws to the airport at 5am this morning - i remember him getting up but fell back to sleep. Then woke up, looked at the clock, it said 8.40 so I got up, went out to the chooks, surprised that they were all very quiet, opened their doors and went back in. Perplexed as to why my Sunday paper wasn`t on the mat, I made coffee and settle onto the sofa to watch some news - IT WAS 6AM Blooming batteries in my clock must of gone
Space Chick
Firstly - Sandie that picture is just beyond adorable Koojie - Fartichoke soup Em - That is so funny, I was up at 5.45 am again but went back to bed, although at 7am this morning Ace had decided to wake the whole of the Cimla with her egg announcing Needless to say I got up Went to collect the egg, and Tegan is camped out in the nesting box She keeps putting herself in enclosed spaces, its rather disturbing I really don't think she has ever been part of a flock before. Falkor
Bless little Tegan - she will get there in the end I am sure. Oooh and I forgot to say that Nessie and Bella took themselves off to bed in the cube with the big girls. They have been here since Feb 6th but up until last weekend they were living in their own section on the bantams cube run. Moved them into the rabbit run in the WIR last Sunday - is that my quickest integration ever!!!

Space Chick
Morning JJ Phil phoned me in Grandads to tell me that the sky engineer was here early (he was due at 12). So I rushed home, by which time he had already left Phil thought I'd have to sign as the sky account is in my name, apparently not. Phil is now stressed as the new sky box only has 1 scart, and he now has to work out how to join everything back up. He has just said "Please let this lead work or I will cry" I wait in nervous anticipation He has just started dancing, I take it thats a good sign

Valkyrie
Howdie folks. Had a great time at the exhibition. My goodness the big cakes were fabulous - lots of serious art work in them. I made sure I had my camera and put it in MY bag this time. Took some piccies. There was a cake with shoes all over it - and a couple of handbags with them! We first went to the chocolate demo. Oh boy, right by the melting choccy and manumanumanum. Lots of inspiration for Erin's Head Chef night this week. Then we went to see some sugar blowing - that seemed to go on forever (hear Erin's tummy rumbling ) but I misread the area and got the wrong demonstration - I don't think we missed the intended one really, it was only making blobby sugar animals - and this sugar man made a swan with his glass blowing while his wife was making sugar flowers. Very pretty. Then we wandered around and bought up the blooming place. I am expecting a lot of cakes with super decorations I tell you!!!!! She has also made enquiries about courses for next year. I'm also happy to announce that we were in the first 100 and we received 2 bags (I gave mine away - didn't need 2 and I thought it was greedy). It appears that we have missed lots of good offers for bits and bobs - but there were so many things to do we didn't get a chance to peruse the bag contents. Have decided to go next year for sure. Tasters? Not really but we did have some fudge in the sugar man section. All happening at Debs then today. Little thundercloud over the house is there? Poor Tegan - I've never heard of an agoraphobic chicken before - you don't think she wants to go to another show do you and the hiding in small spaces is a big hint? Well done Nessie and Bella Yes please JJ.
Falkor
AAAAAALLLLLL BYYYYYYY MYSELF!!!! Dont wanna be, AAAALLLLLL BY MYSELF!!!!!!!..........NOPE, that is not a cat being strangled, it is me singing Where is everyone - the forum is suspiciously quiet You can`t ALL be out doing mothers day things.....can you? Well I have just come back indoors after five hours in the garden. Firstly, what a blooming lovely day! Had to take my jumper off I was getting SO warm Another busy day............ - two more fence panels painted. We have ten running up each side of the garden so I am pacing myself - dug over and raked up area where bantam cube used to be. Another 5 bags of chickeny poo goodness for my freecyclers! - set up - went to B&Q and purchased gravel board, painted and cable tied to edge of cube run so the tinkers can`t flick aubiose all over the paths - not as easily anyway - lifted slabs that was the path behind cube and cleaned those - raked all of lawn - swept all paths - spilt whole tin of cuprinol - - £20 wasted AND now - on the sofa eating chocolate oooh Debs - been there are done that with the sky box. OH is now banned from doinf anything behind the TV - things were thrown the last time Now we are on Virgin the nice man does it all for us Koooj - sounds like a super day! Nessie seems to have gotten very brave after her first night in the big girls cube - she is currently terrorising the bantams What happened to my timid cuddly bitza? OH said she has been hanging with the wrong crowd He means Brandy - she is not a very nice person and wanders round in a strop most of the time muttering to anyone that will listen. I reckon she is moaning cos I didn`t let her fulfill her broody dreams. Edited March 14, 2010 by Guest
