kinsk
The eglu runs have the skirts on them, it's not to stop foxes etc. digging in, it's to stop the girls digging out!! The inside of their run is like the surface of the moon every night, craters everywhere, bowls strewn all over the place bless!
Ain't Nobody Here
It's amazing how deep they can dig .
Space Chick
I have an ex batt and a silkie that are currently building a tunnel to Australia
abwsco
The favourite trick of mine is to dig holes in their WIR but somehow conceal them with the shavings so they don't look like a hole until you step down in one if that makes sense. I've nearly gone over a few times in them. I have to climb over perches as well to get to the Go and I'm sure the madams deliberately choose where I'm going to have to put my feet
chickychuck26
l was doing a clean up and just giving the walk in run a rake over when in comes our two jack russell's who started digging the chickens lined up behind waiting for the worms it was so funny l guess the girlees were having a lazy day
chickenNutter
Yup, mine dig all around the perimeter of their eglu run so that the Easibed is all in a sor ot embankment down the centre. Requires levelling virtually every night!
pipistrelle
Biryani is our digger here, I swear she's clucking for props to hold the tunnels up! we're on sandy soil so have had to put slabs outside the end of the run and are lucky that one side buts up to a sleeper (under the fence) or next door would be getting a visit
