sugarmouse
As i've mentioned in a previous post, i hatched 3 naked necks 2 weeks ago which were meant to be silkies. I love them to bits but cant decide whether to keep or sell them as i dont want cockerels again having just got rid of my aggressive one, which has left me a bit nervous around birds in general. These are supposed to be bantams or so the seller informs me. What are they like as adult birds, the hen and the cockerel? Has anyone had a bad experience with them? I cant make up my mind

Rosey Supposey
Sorry to post a useless reply, but want to tell you my other half is SO jealous of you right now! He desperately wants to keep Transylvanian Naked Necks after reading about them in a magazine in the newsagent! This really was a useless response... Sorry... legend21
wonder how they would do in Scotland with their little bare necks Jackie
Eggasperated
My Carol has a permanently bare neck thanks to Pippa (and she's definitely not Transylvanian) and she's survived the whole winter up here without a woolly scarf.
Cranfield Kate
I met some at a Pets At Home chicken night and had a chat with the man from mudchute farm about them. they were REALLY nice chooks. a bit grim looking at first but after watching them for a bit you could see they were full of character but not nasty. I was smitten. the mudchute man said they were pretty resilient to cold. and it was so cool the way they could perch on a finger!
