ive brought a second hand cube that i have sent my mother to pick up for me

she has just phoned to say its loaded in the back of the car and shes just about to start the trip home .

 

is it really sad that im so excited lol i cant wait for her to get back lol i want it now lol

 

my 4 ladies will love there new home, im sure they know something is going on as i got a extra big egg this morning (i dont normally get any till lunch time )

 

why do chickens take over your life lol

 

my 11yr old wants a eglu and 2 birds of his own ,i have agreed as he is so good with the family ones and he has started a saving fund bless him(is on my ebay 10 times a day seeing if there is one he can afford lol ) ,he said if he pays for his eglu will i share the food and other bits

ive not seen him so excited over something in a long long time (since my divorce ) its amazing to watch him ,i have a wooden coop at the moment and when i cant find him i can almost bet on the fact that hes sat in the run with a bird on his knee lol

 

these chickens have brought my son back and its wonderfull

 

sorry for the life story but im just so amazed

Very exciting and not sad at all I love my cube.

 

I also have an 11 year old son who is always willing to help out with the chooks. It is great to have him involved with something that he can truly take responsibility for. I can get him to clean out the chicken coops more easily than tidy his room

When my first cube arrived I took pictures of it before it was even out of the boxes...and at every stage of construction.......now that is sad

my big egg has just been eaton on some toast with beans and mushrooms and it was a double yolker so even better they are treating me lol

kids faught like hell over who was getting it lol of course i had to have it to stop fights l

So exiting about getting your cube Tinks, but you forgot to tell us the most important thing WHAT COLOUR IS IT? And has it arrived yet? Obviously not or you wouldnt be on here would you

and i love it ,my poor mum drove miles today to fetch it for me then had to help me build it lol

 

it fitted in the back of a old mondeo no probs i could wait to get it out

 

the girls have no idea whats going on

 

but are loving the attention

 

nugget ,kiev and chips are more intrested in worms lol

It was my cube! Just like to brag that i kept it in good condition lol. Glad to see its gone to a good home.

My chickens i donated to a local charity who support children with special needs, they have a farm which people can visit, so my children will still be able to see our chickens.
