Alis girls
The only ones I can find are ? coloured black or terracotta - are these safe. I can see bark but so many of the Omleteers seem to be anti - it as it goes soggy and spores are in it i think I read somewhere. Is playbark safe or rubber chipping - is on newbie list but are they safe. Help new mum to be this week
Egluntyne
Ring your local tree surgeon and ask him for some. They are often glad to get rid of it.

Plum
I really liked the B&Q playground woodchip, bit softer than the hard ones.
bluekarin
I too am having problems finding the natural wood chips. Only can find terracotta which looks horrid, and I don't want my white chook being two tone Went to B&Q and Homebase today and nuffin
Snowy
I agree, ring round the local tree surgeons. They need to get rid of loads - our allotment has an agreement with a couple and they are constantly dumping tons of chippings there for us to use. Also the council - the last lot I got was when I saw some council workers cutting down some branches. I asked them to empty their lorry on my front lawn It did the chicken run plus a large play area for the children!
rachael_farnsworth
Have you tried Wyevale (garden centre chain)? They've got offers on on theirs and I don't think they're artificially coloured.
