Unsecure chicken perches

First thing tomorrow we are off to Merrydale to hopefully get some new girls. Our lovely new WIR is rather empty with just three girls and they look lost in the cube, so we are hoping to get three more tomorrow.

 

Very eggcited but a bit worried about the introductions but hope it all goes ok.

i was there the other day ,she has some very pretty girls ,i wen tin for antil peck spray and came out with anti peck spray and 2 merrydale cresteds lol im keeping my fingers crossed for some blue eggs lol

Well we picked up grandaughter and off we went. We got to Merrydale before they opened and waited at the gate. They have some lovely looking chickens and Karen is lovely.

 

We came home with some girls but how many

I liked the idea of different coloured eggs so we wanted a blue/green layer and a white layer.

 

Well we went to buy three but we came home with four , two crested and we intended to get one snowbell but that left one snowbell on her own so we had to bring her home too

 

I have been trying to get some photo but they keep hiding, I will keep trying as I know how much you all like photos

I am struggling to get a decent picture, but I will ask OH if he can put some pictures on tomorrow.

 

One of the white ones we are calling Daisy and one of the crested ones grandaughter has called Toffee. Struggling over names for the other two.

 

The white ones are hiding in the eglu, the other two are in the run, hope they take themselves to bed soon.
