I want a fave but I just can't decide.

 

I'm looking at milliefleur sablepoots later (think I'll love them) maybe they will be my fave.. I have a silkie (which i love) but is only small. Might get some more of those. I'm not keen on lavendar.

Aw it'd be a funny old world if we were all the same - I love lavender. I wanted a lavender pekin but can't find one (not relatively close to home anyway). Personally, I am less keen on red partridge-y coloured birds and the sort of randomly blotchy ones (not sure of the technical term for that!). I like white, silvery and lemony coloured chooks - I am quite a girlie girl though!

You cant beat a clearly marked black and white bird - Barred Wyandottes are obv my fave but Appenzellers and silver laced dottes all look good if they are well marked

Wheaton/salmon is my favourite. I love the way the different colours in the feathering blend together, minky pinky creamy honey sort of coloured. Our Poppy is a French Wheaton Marans cross, I've had Salmon Faverolles, attempted to have Wheaton Pekins but the ones that hatched are boys and today I have hopefully all girl FW Marans hatching

Ooooh, you'll HAVE to have a millefleur sablepoot... or two... They are very pretty birds - the look like they have leopard spots. They're not fluffy the way Pekins are, bit more streamlined and upright. I was considering adding two sablepoots (amongst other things! ) because I really want a millefleur SOMETHING. The breeder I got my Pekins from didn't have much luck with her millefleur Pekins last year, and that was what I'd really wanted.

 

The one thing I didn't want was a black one - which is exactly what I got instead! But she has the most beautiful beetle green sheen and she's now my princess.

 

My lavender would be lovely - except she's more a mud-stained shade of grey, because she's always in the mud

Blue Buff, I think its a fab combination. I love the colouring on my Tegan, a Blue Buff Columbian Brahma Bantam

Our copper maran is beautifully coloured - black, with coppery neck feathers and a green sheen on the body.

Gold combinations are my favourite but I would love a slate grey/blue girl or lavendar. Anyone got any spare

I would say any light sussex coloured ones but I adore the barred and silver laced dottes (hopefully getting one of each in July). My fav is deffinatly any white and black or black and white hens

lol I did mean chickens but for eglu's it's gotta be PINK

 

I didn't get the sablepoots as hubby didn't like them but I got a few poot eggs as well as some copper blue!? and some poland.

 

BUT why is it when my incy's are full I am offered more eggs¬!!!!!!! for freeeeeeee !!!!!!!
