scarlettohara
Lovely chickens and great WIR - are your pekins separate or in with the others ?
batcatz
Wow, huge run. Great photos. My favourite is the third picture too.
jellykelly
You don't need a hanbag for Willemina - she'll slip nicely in your trouser pocket - she's teeny. Scarlett o'hara - all of my girls are in together. The dutch (pigeon size) being the smallest along with the giant white cochin and orpington. The pekins, although relatively small, could stand their grounded if needed, but they all get along so well, it's not required!
honorandkit
I am so jealous of your run - it's amazing! Not only do you have beautiful, beautiful girls but your photography is pretty darn good too - great pictures! So far, any photos of our girls are blurred where they've run away from me... Tutti Frutti
...So far, any photos of our girls are blurred where they've run away from me... They'll soon settle down. And then your pics will be rubbish because they keep running towards you, won't stand still and want to know what you're doing As Tallulha will now demonstrate

jellykelly
Thankyou. I'm very pleased with my new walk in run. The little lady in the 6th picture is Meilin, my little pekin. She's a lovely little bird, full of personality and character!

jellykelly
The dutch and the pekins were kept in a seperate run and house at one point. They all used to free range together happily. One night I went to lock them up and they were all in together - we've not looked back since. The two brahma bantams were also seperate, but then barack'o brahma decided to go broody. I had no option but to try and chuck shell'o brahma in with the larger flock - luckily, it all worked out and all are great pals. I'm already worrying though about trying to add Barack'o to the flock once she's had enough of isolation with her chicks.
