Just back from a week sailing in Greece and I loved it.

 

I so want a yacht it's just like a caravan on the sea and I loved the caravaning hols we used to do when I was a kid.

 

I've never really hankered after the lifestyle of the rich and famous before...

 

I'm already planning when I can go again.

It's a talent I have. Whenever someone makes a statement, then

 

1. take them too literally

I love most sorts of boats (not interested in power boats or gin palaces as my OH always calls them), they just seem to represent freedom in a way a car never does to me. Owning your own narrowboat would be so

I live on a narrowboat, and my chicks are now known as Chicks Afloat, peace and quiet most of the time and a very slow life style. Can't beat it!

Chicks only arrived yesterday so at present they are getting used to new grass and surroundings. They will be living on land but when we go off sailing they will be in their in the cratch or welldeck at the front of the boat. Their run will be flat on the top of the boat and when we moor up they will be able to have their run along the towpath so they can enjoy themselves and their surroundings. We won't be sailing everyday or for long each day either, no need to rush thank goodness.

having viewed the majors "yatch" if I attempted that ladder (and I wouldnt) the whole thing would tip over. I'm not fat but I am a big girl - I think I might give that one a miss. Imagine half asleep step out of door and splash straight into water and thats before a morning cuppa. doesnt bear thinking about

One day when our children move out we are going to move onto a boat. If they don't join us that is. Dh takes them sailing (he has a a dinghy)

I always said if I wasn't with dh and had children by now I would be on the canals

 

We are lucky though that my pils have a boat on the broads that we can holiday on. Shes a real beauty

My ds has the smallest size you can get but it would swamp a chicken but perhaps you could get the cot style ones they have on planes. Just have to teach them to inflate i t

Some friends have a narrowboat and have offered it to us for a holiday - really ought to do it.
