sleepymummy
Hi I picked up and from Omlet HQ today, after successfully rehoming my 2 bad-tempered ones. They have spent the day in the run while Marsha has been free-ranging. Marsha was desperate to go to bed. It's quite dark now. She went. I had to shove the 2 new ones in there as they had no idea where to go. I have shut the door tight. I can hear a bit of scuffling going on. Should I leave the door ajar or keep it tight? jennydavies
Is it possible to go and have a quiet peek in and see if they have settled ?
Plum
I would keep it shut they should settle down in the dark. If you hear any squeeks you can always have a peep with a torch through the egg port just to check things are ok. When I first put mine together to sleep, I was like a cat on hot bricks I would get up early though to make sure all is peaceful and watch what happens when they are let out and be ready to intervene if it is necessary. Good luck
sleepymummy
Thank you for reassuring me. I can't hear any scuffles now so I am guessing that all is quiet. I am reluctant to peep! They weren't loud scuffles. It's difficult with these light mornings. I leave the door ajar so that Marsha can get out at first light but I am NOT getting up at 4am! The children are usually up 6-ish so I will dash out and let them out as soon as I can. They had no Idea how to go to bed, it was so funny! Despite having their wings clipped today, they both managed to fly up onto they corrugated plastic, slanted roof that covers some of the run! None of my others have ever done that! So, I just thought the easiest thing was to carry them off and shove them in! Poor things! I do loathe these first introductions! Thanks for your help. Plum
New ones always do things differently. Like eat all the plants the others never touched etc.,
