Chicken bald back

Hope this has not been posted elsewhere, I couldn't find it on a search. I was in a TV shop showing adverts for BBC HD and was captivated by the trailer for the secret life of the chicken. It is with Jimmy Doherty too.

There was lots of footage of chickens being chickeny, pecking round, pecking each other and even eating a mouse.

Yes it is the one featuring Jane from BHWT. It's been postponed but the last BHWT newsletter hoped it would be on in July sometime but didn't have a defnite date.

Thank you very much to all of you! I am so glad that I am part of the omlet forum. At present we are renovating our house and so our TV is in the garage gathering dust. To be perfectly honest we don't miss TV at all, it was in the garage for over 2 month now. But I am really looking forward to see this program. Just had a quick look at the cow episode and seems really good! I will iplayer all of them!

I loved it! So lovely to see the ex-batts learning to behave naturally. It was marvellous and heartbreaking at the same time. Have to say, though, that as a dedicated chook pet I didn't learn anything new I already knew they'd do anything for mealworms!

I'll admit I did say to my OH that they could smell it out... I mean they were mealworms, and they're the best treat ever!! My girls can smell them out before I've stepped out onto the patio!
