Does anyone collect Tesco Clubcard points? I know some of us are trying to be a little frugal on here, so maybe it's not just me that collects them.

 

I thought we could have a posting whereby people post any points offers they have seen instore or on the net so we may all take advantage!!!

 

And yes the title is relevent. Last year I collected enough bonus points for my flights to sydney next year with BA and enough to go back twice more- for two people!!!

 

So if you see anything to post pop it on.

we do this, have paid for holidays & long weekends for the past 6 years, its great, we get much better holidays than we would normally afford, each point is worth 4 times its face value. The choices change each year and the long weekend city breaks have been stopped which is a shame, and you can now only pay half the cost of the holiday with points, until this year you could cash in the whole amount in points if you have them. Sign of the times I suppose. But we are off to Jamaica in a couple of weeks, next year we are going to go with SIL & family to a freinds villa & use the points to buy air tickets

 

when the children were younger we got tickets for lots of UK attractions & B&B and traveled around London Blackpool Thorpe Parke,Alton Towers, they remember it as the best holiday they ever had OH & I were completely shattered

I have to confess to not really understanding the whole points thing. I have only ever asked for money to be taken off my shopping

@ Chucky mama, when you get your vouchers through the post. Go to tesco.com and click on clubcard and there is a variety of things you can swap them for (4 times the value) so say £2.50 in vouchers is £10 of restaurant vouchers for example.

OK, I have just registered the card online and opted in to points being allocated for online use. If I don't use points things that come through the post do I loose the points or do they stay on the card?

I only do a top up shop at Tesco, so never earn enough points to make it worth saving for airmiles or holidays. But we do use points for days out. We've been to warwick castle, Thorpe park, Tower of london, and this summer we are going to Longleat safari park and Alton Towers, all paid for by Tesco.

Chucky Mama- please don't use your points for shopping, they are worth so much more to you if you wait and exchange your vouchers for rewards. Vouchers are sent 4or 5 times year I think. When you've got them, go onto the Tesco clubcard rewards site and choose how to spend them. I've just convinced a friend to do this - previously, like you, she just had a few pounds off her shopping. She's really pleased because she's got herself year long subscriptions to her 4 favourite magazines , and hasn't spent a penny

Do you mean your vouchers ? they will have a long number on them which is what you enter when using them to pay online. I should think you could use those in additiion to what you collect online.

I don't earn enough points to use for something big so just stick with a subscription to Gardener's World magazine for mum, and we usually go to Gardener's World Live for free too. I did use £24 worth of vouchers on a netbook though.

We save ours to use on holidays too. I did a NY trip on QM2 a couple of years ago and Mum did one last year. I was trying to save up to buy a Rolex but they always seem to go on the cruises. However when I posted about this on here another Omleteer did use them to buy a Rolex.

I have just bought a Longines watch from Goldsmiths jewellers with my Tesco clubcard points. I only had to contribute £10 to a £650 watch.

 

Every £1 is multiplied by 4 when you take advantage of the clubcard offers.

ahhhhhhh !! Ive had my shopping from Tesco's for last few years, didnt know you could use club points against flights!!! They sent me a card in the post & didnt do anything with it

will have to check mine as I think they now automatically give you a card ( I often shop online) & spend a small fortune weekly!!

I was trying to save up to buy a Rolex but they always seem to go on the cruises. However when I posted about this on here another Omleteer did use them to buy a Rolex.

I had 900 tesco vouchers which I had saved over a couple of years. I buy most items for my business and home on a Tesco credit card (double points on all items bought from tesco's) and exchanged them for £3,600.00 of Goldsmith's vouchers. Paid the deposit and outstanding balance on......my Tesco's credit card.
