Does anyone know what this is ? - update

We know how you feel, our Granddaughter lives in Georgia, Russia so we don't think we will get to meet her until she is about 18 and decides to do a bit of travelling and maybe she will be curious enough to want to meet her Grandparents. We adore living here, it is idyllic, so peaceful with just the sounds of the countryside. We never complain when we listen to the coq's crowing, the sheep bleating or the cow's lowing each morning. Our village is tiny and we are on the edge of it, very typically french and we are one of only three english families here. It's just like england was in the fifties, but with all mod-cons. We have absolutely no regrets selling up lock, stock and barrel and coming over here to live. We love going out to our vegetable garden and picking food to cook straight away for lunch or dinner.

WOW!

I finally got my 7 pumpkins in on Monday and have left them in the house for a few days for their skins to harden up, then they'll go down the shed. I think we would have had more pumpkins had we not had to cut back half the plant during the summer as it was taking over!

I'm guessing it came from one of the same type I bought last year. Unless it came from a normal yellow pumpkin, and is a 'wait and see what you get' every time you plant the seeds  I shall make sure we have put down plenty of manure and actually plant it myself. That said, it probably won't grow, like all the courgettes that I tried to grow this year
