Ain't Nobody Here
I saw that on Yahoo news . Ridiculous . (I didn't suggest my OH should take part - I can imagine the response .)
Egluntyne
Some folk just have too much time on their hands.
meezers
The winners win their wifes weight in beer! Now there's a dilema. Does the wife go on a diet beforehand, so she's easier to carry? or does she pig out so they win more beer ?
Alis girls
Out of interest were any of you married ladies carried over the threshold by your OH's or is this old hat? I am a big girl (not fat) just tall and big boned and I didnt want my OH to get a hernia I would've loved to be carried over but it wasnt to be. Poor man didnt want him to put his back out
patsylabrador
I was. It was neither romantic or stylish. More hilarious I would say.
The Dogmother
Watching that clip, the first thing that came to mind was that i don't think I'd want to have my head that close to a man's hairy bum I'm a featherweight and The Boy never picks me up.... cites his dodgy knee he's romantic in other ways though. Space Chick
I'm heavier than my OH so I don't think it'll be happening in this house also he doesn't drink beer so the prize is kind of pointless
Charlottechicken
There's always the husband carrying contest
The Dogmother
There's no way I could carry The Boy, despite him being a slender 6'!
Lesley
They showed this on BBCBreakfast this morning and I just caught it - I think Carl is mightily glad that even he doesn't need beer that much!
bronze
I love the way he jumped into the water with his wifes head at his waist height. That desperate for the beer he doesn't mind drowning her
WarrensWorld
I was going to say, that some men have been carrying their wives for years. Then I thought I'd better not.........
