kerryegg
Perfectly well otherwise. in the run with 3 others. She is about 9 months old, warren hybrid. Eating, drinking, digging, laying and friendly but sounds weird. Any ideas? Thank-you.
Plum
Has she got it back yet?
kerryegg
No not really but is still perfectly well. Just ignore it I guess. Thanks for reply. I suppose I notice things more only having 4 but it is worrying when they do something different.
Plum
Guess if she is well you can afford to watch and see what happens. Perhaps too many egg announcements
Janty
When you say losing her voice, what do you mean? Only, I have a cochin that sounds very similar to your girl. My cochin sounds ho"Ooops, word censored!" and at one point last year sounded as though she was shouting 'Peanuts' down the garden. The vet was stumped and she stopped once Winter came. She has recently started again.
Sue
Hi - Do you happen to know if these particular chickens are laying eggs all the best Sue
Janty
Scary Spice, my cochin is laying regular as clockwork and considering that she's three years old, that's good going.
Sue
Hi Janty - it dosn't sound like there is too much wrong with her !! . I suppose every chuck is an individual, and that goes for tone of voice as well. I think a regular layer at 3 needs some sort of accolade All the best Sue
Janty
She's very healthy in every other way. We must be getting three eggs a week on average from her.
kerryegg
Still the same. Bright as a button and laying everyday. I had another look at her throat and beak, she was not impressed and all looks fine. Think I'll just try and ignore it. 4 chooks, 3 sound normal, 1 ho"Ooops, word censored!" in an Eartha Kitt sort of way. Thanks for replies.
