Chucky Mama
I have just spent an hour on the phone to Apple making it a total of 4+ hours now regarding faulty iPod Nanos. The first one stopped tracks randomly, the second only played down one earphone and this one wont charge All faults; except the charging one (which didn't show up until the battery was dead), showed up immediately It is so frustrating, especially when it takes so long on the phone to sort anything out. Not a great advert for iPods for me. If anything goes wrong with the 4th one, I will give up. Anyone else had a problem?
jess
Yes very unlucky by the sound of it, I have six apple products and are all faultless. Too bad you don't live near an apple store and you could have just taken it there :C
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Have they sorted you? OH reckons if the battery dies or they go really faulty they send you a new one in a heartbeat. Being on hold for hours/speaking to call centres is too gaaaah for words.
LuckyChickenLover-
I think you have just been very unlucky. Mine has little problems from time to time buy these usually sort themselves out if I let the battery run down completely and then charge it up again. I wish you luck with your next iPod CM. Chucky Mama
They tried to fob me off with a repair but I have insisted on being sent a new one. Fingers are very firmly crossed for this one being OK
The Dogmother
Good for you. Sounds as if you've been unlucky, I haven't had any problems here. I hope you get it sorted.
LuckyChickenLover-
Apple products are usually high quality, hence the high price tag . You deserve what you paid for, and they shouldn't try to fob you off like that!
Ain't Nobody Here
I bought an ipod nano for ES a few years back. Straight out of the box, it didn't work (bear in mind this was Christmas Eve and I was about to wrap it up for him). They did send me a new one (minus the engraving we'd had on the original one) and that worked for a year then it started playing up. After hours and hours online trying to sort it out, we threw it in the bin in the end . I won't ever buy an Apple product again - high price tag, rubbish quality . LuckyChickenLover-
I once heard of someone who when they took off their jacket, the static electricity broke their iPod. They scratch really easily too. For such a large ammount of money you'd expect better.
docsquid
I've had 4 nanos (not all for me!) and a classic and they have all worked perfectly. The only problem I had was with the first nano which I managed to inadvertently steam when I was doing the ironing. It stopped working for a while, but it seemed to right itself more or less, and I used it to store aerobics/workout music on and used it when I was cycling or training. It sounds like you have been pretty unlucky really.
sadietoo
I know this isn't helpful, but I think you have been very unlucky. We have four i-pods in this house, three of which were bought reconditioned from the Apple site, and we haven't had any problems at all. Hope it is all resolved very soon. Olly
Another one here who loves her iPod, sorry to hear you have had problems, but my nano has been absolutely fine. I think you've just been unlucky.
karlotta
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Sounds like you have bee really unlucky. I've had a mini, a nano and now a classic and a touch and all have been perfect. I even ran the nano through the washing machine and although the screen was a bit damaged, it still playe once it had dried out thoroughly - which look a long time as it's so sturdy!! Good luck with the next one!
Ain't Nobody Here
Sounds like I was really unlucky too . I didn't see why I should have to pay another £100+ to replace something that was only a year old - Apple didn't agree . It's Sony for me from now on . I love my MP3 Walkman . ubereglu
Sounds like I was really unlucky too . I didn't see why I should have to pay another £100+ to replace something that was only a year old - Apple didn't agree . That's rubbish-sounds like you've been unlucky though. Very stylish goods, but highly overpriced.
grracee
Sorry to hear about the problems you've had with the i-pods, in this house we have *deep breath* i-pod touch, 2 i-pod classics & 3 nanos & all seem to work well. I know my step sister had abit of trouble with her nano at first but restarted it & it seems to be fine now Hope the 4th one works fine for you! Woodcat
i agree you've been very unlucky we have had an ipod mini (that seems like ages ago) and i pod nano and an ipod classic. I replaced the mini after having it for 3 years becuase my music selection had outgrown it and the battery wasn't as good i had to charge it every other day rather than once a week. The classic had to go back once because it went wrong but they fixed it with no quibbles and it's been fine every since i love them to bits
