Thanks to Redwing who put me in touch with a lovely chook owner, I am collecting 2 millefleur pekin chicks this pm (possibly a mille frizzle ) so I have just been to Homebase and bought some wood to make a wood/mesh partition to hopefully prevent anymore accidents I will be stapling all afternoon I think

 

Thanks for all your kind words yesterday (it didn't get much better - went to Gatwick to pick up ES and flight was 3 hours late so got to bed at 6 am )

Aw. I bet they will be stunning. I love millefleur but my breeder hadn't had a very good millefleur year so couldn't get one

 

Try get the frizzle bet that will be amazing.

I have no idea what millefleur pekin chicks look like, but the name sounds lovely so I'm sure they will be just beautiful. Good luck with doing all your DIY today

When you make the divide make sure it goes all the way up or has a lid or they may get out. My little ones can shin upwards to quite a height if rattled

Here they are - it took me an hour to choose them, so many beautiful bantams. All colours of millefleur, splash, laced, partridge, lemon cukoo, cuckoo, buff and on my next shopping list - chocolate orpington bantams and chocolate pekins

 

Chick I collected last saturday, 5/6 weeks old black/white frizzle called Squeak (well it's all she does )

Possible blue pekin (Alma the breeder wants me to keep taking pics of her as she has never had a grey like her before and is interested to see how she turns out) she is so tame - she sat there for ages

I've just picked up some 5 week old chicks. I agree 'Squeak' is all they seem to say!

Yes they have but I look at them and feel sad for the 2 little ones who aren't joining in
