Cheryl
Hello everyone, on this sunny day, well it is in London! I have chicks that are 6 weeks old, they are Polands and are still tiny, compared to my elderly ladies, but I was wondering when I could put them into their coop, there are 4 of them and they will be alone.. they have been living inside until today when I have put them outside for a run about and they seem to love it.. here's one of them enjoying the space.. Jools
They should be absolutely fine at this time of year. Just make sure there are no draughts and they can't get wet .... then sit back and watch.

Redwing
A bt of corrugated plastic on the bottom half of the run on that panel by the coop door and the end panel behind the coop would be good to avoid draughts during the day Close the pop hole at night that should do the trick for night time Make sure the bedding in the coop and the run is clean and hasnt previously been used by older chickens, the chicks should be kept away from the droppings of older chickens while they are young
Cheryl
Thank you very much for your advice... I will look into getting some thing to fill in the panels.. everything is new in the coop its all just been purchased,
bevmatt
Your coop looks lovely and i think it is nice the way you have hung some branches - chicken heaven... I use plastic roofing sheets - the clear stuff used to making car ports it is great to help with draughts and also as it is clear still allows lots of light in.
