self inflating camping mats

Recommended Posts

Can't speak from personal experience but I was camping with some friends a couple of weeks ago and they had got the Outwell double self inflating bed and were really enthusiastic about it.

John (the fella) suffers with a bad back and after years of using ordinary airbeds and being uncomfortable was now able to sleep comfortably with no unpleasant after effects!

As you say, they aren't cheap, but decent quality normal airbeds are around £40 and then there's the pump as well, so I don't think they are too bad really.

Happy camping!!

We got our SIM's from Argos. We were going to buy those expensive ones called Fat Airics but after reading poor reviews we decided against. I find the ones from argos adequate, I think they were £16 approx each and I use one of those cheap foamy mats underneath aswell. :D

I find self inflating mats MUCH better than a blow up mattress, easier to move around on. My major expense was a decent sleeping bag which was a Coleman one for £50. I like to be warm and toasty camping.
