Mollie333
Good morning all! How are you all? My giant leaf, in the walk in run. Biscuit, Bourbon red turkey, braving it on top of the walk in run! She is beautiful! Anyone for a Partridge Frizzle, Fizz? How many can fit in the bath? Actually got Biscuit, all three pekins and a hybrid in here at one time.. Goldstar
Wow, you're up early. I wasn't far behind you thanks to my DD. I love the photos. Has your turkey ever escaped? I am going to steal your idea for a dust bath, I have a spare tub trug knocking around. Is it ok to use kiln dried sandin the dust bath? We had a clear out of the shed yesterday and found 2 bags. Snoxy
Morning Mollie Seems odd 'talking' with you here Love your photos...I am using an old tyre as a dustbath but had thought of a trug...it obviously works well Must get the leaf sorted too...it's surplus to requirements where Ellin is concerned now Lou
migsy
I made exactly the same dustbath out of a blue trug but they are not interested.

Guest
I use old tires for dust baths I did have a trugg but they didn't use it so in the end I put it with some straw in, in the shed and they all lay in it now. Ps molly MY LEAF.
Mollie333
Ps molly MY LEAF. My leaf.. I'm loving the leaf!! I think a trip to Ikea is required today..... There soo good for protecting the hens from the rain.. although i have to admit i did neel down under there in the thunderstorm a few days ago . I made exactly the same dustbath out of a blue trug but they are not interested. The bath has had to be taken away, since the rain ruined the mud. Morning Mollie Must get the leaf sorted too...it's surplus to requirements where Ellin is concerned now Good thing about the trug is that its big (you need large shallow tubtrug- i got mine of ebay, i think scarlettohara gave me the idea, actually? so all the credit goes to her. But yes they love having a bath, expecailly the pekins, the lemon cuckoo one.. so she looks dirty ALL THE TIME. As long as they are happy and healthy. Does seem weird talking on her doesn't it!i sometimes if i remeber put the tubtrug under the leaf away from the rain. Does Ellin realize you are eyeing up her leaf?.... Thanks everyone elts. Wow, you're up early. I wasn't far behind you thanks to my DD.I love the photos. Has your turkey ever escaped? I am going to steal your idea for a dust bath, I have a spare tub trug knocking around. Is it ok to use kiln dried sandin the dust bath? We had a clear out of the shed yesterday and found 2 bags. I Love early mornings, but i don't sleep well. Well.. Biscuit likes to perch on top, but there is the odd jumping down wondering about then..'oh god how am i ment to get back in' moment.. Then she will fly at the wire. But because i've made steps (meaning the coops!) its easy for her to get up but if she jumps off she knows she can't get back in. Got to be careful of the dogs next door... Yep! we used to use sand, but ran out now i dig trenches out and fill the tub with mud, which they seem to like just as much! Thanks so much everyone!
