its a silki, 15 weeks old, and if its a cockeral do they make any noise? I already have a pekin bantam cockerel, he makes a noise at 15 weeks.

 

any ideas please?

Deffinately looks like a boy to me and my 2 silkie cockerels both crow.

I don't what age they started as they were 20 weeks when I got them. I have hatched some of their chicks this year, they are 10 weeks old and no crowing but I still can't tell what sex they are.

My pekin cockerel didn't crow till about 18 weeks.....started with more like a squawk then it developed into proper crow by 20 weeks,

I was thinking it was a cockeral, it seemed to have changed quick, and its always play fighting with my other cockeral

I'm still waiting for Onion to crow, he's 22 wks. His voice has broken though as he boks in a deep voice

my 14 week old TNN is crowing andhas been on and off for a week now. the maran also 14 weeks hasn't crowed yet as far as I know

Those wattles are very impressive for a 15 week chick, so I'd guess you have a cockerel.

definitely a boy! more male looking than the boy white silkie I have (sold to me as Mildred.... now is called Count Dracula... long story!) he is about 25 weeks and still no crow but plenty of squaring off to the younger boys and also he rather enjoys the company of the one POL lady in the pen, if you know what I mean! x

oh, it's a boy then I was given a few eggs when my hen went broody, I didn't know anything

about the chicks, now I've got 2 cockerals 15weeks old

 

Will a silkie cockeral and a Pekin cockeral get on ok together? they are fine at the moment
