Lesley
Thursday which involved eating at 10pm I hope that wasn't my fault! Any pictures of the new arrivals! Don't forget to put them in your signature! No Martin - not your fault! Everything was fine until we got home. Carl had to take the tractor and topper to cut the grass because we need to move the sheep this weekend and the forecast is so bad. We would lose the sheep completely if welet them in as it was. He just kept going until it was dark! The wine thing - well, I've said every night since we had Jazz that red wine and a puppy who hasn't settled down to have a snooze is a disaster waiting to happen. It did and it was I shouted at Carl and stomped off to bed Don't mess with a menopausal woman (Carl, not you Martin!) When we have some nice weather (?) - I will wash the fleece in the bath and hang it out to dry. Then, through the winter months, I will prepare it ready for spinning. I taught Lauren and Jake how to spin wool, in the February half term. They also did some weaving. I don't knit but I do like spinning and weaving. On another site, I found some details of where you can send the fleece off to have it washed and carded ready for spinning - I might have a look at that and send some of it to be done (the dirtier ones )
Lesley
My camera is playing up and I've just missed the photo of the year Carl went out in shorts and T shirt to feed the bees with syrup as the weather is so bad and the colony is still building up. At this time of night you can do this without a beesuit........ He stood in front of the hive and a load of angry bees came out to sting him - he was leaping about and flinging clothes off in the middle of the drive, right outside the window . One naked man cursing - I can't find an emoticon for that Just removed three stings and put sting relief stick on
Mrs Frugal
Oh poor Carl ! Hope he's OK - why, oh why didn't you have the camera handy though ! We could have used the photo for the calendar !
Lesley
I did have the camera ready - it keeps freezing though I don't think Carl was too impressed that I was trying to take his photo and laughing my head off

Lesley
Nor me! Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Spice - in their temporary home..... They have got some leafy branches in there now. They will move to their new home tomorrow and then we will build an aviary with double doors onto the side of the feed shed which is in one of the chicken runs. Mrs Frugal
Lesley, stop it . You can see me weakening, can't you!! It was hard enough persuading LSH that we had room for 3 (then 4 ) additional hens. I dread to think what he'd say if I introduced quail too .
