Tina C
Lots of clever suggestions. I just looked at him and thought 'Old Blue'.
Rhapsody
Please call him Vic Reeves- I'm still wiping tea off my screen where I sprayed it laughing...
Popcorn
He reminds me of 'Johnny 5' from Short Circuit. How about 'Muck' ?
The Dogmother
Brilliant Lesley! Can I have a go next time we're over? Phil might remember what all the levers are for - he used to play on tractors when he was a kiddie.

The Dogmother
Oh, Phil says that he can't remember what all the levers are for .. it was 30 years ago he reminds me.
SarahJo
Last time I drove a tractor .. there was a hare and tortoise lever ..... either go fast or slow . I vote for VIC as a name .....
One Man Banned
I think that it has to be VIC too Lesley - although he does look like "Number 5"! I'd lie to be spending some time cleaning him up and getting the paint out tho (it's a common thing I like to do whenever I buy a car or whatever - spend ages giving it a really good scrub) Can I have a go next time I come over too? A xx Edited April 26, 2007 by Guest

One Man Banned
Now that's the sign of a mis-spent youth Andrew Well I have driven a tractor once before........on my school friends farm. I can proudly say I have ploughed half a field!! Despite it being 20odd years old even then it had power steering, a decent stereo wired in and one awfully uncomfortable seat, from memory! It's interesting that I have posted that thought and I've just put a new post in NB A xx
Lesley
Actually we have a small Iseki tractor too ours is called You B*****d I think that is definitely the winner I nearly decided on Eric (Morecambe) - but Carl has taken to saying the word Eric in a very strange accent (South African ) - so to save me having to kill him - I think it will be VIC!!!!! .....and we're definitely going to be charging for tractor rides I told Matthew that I'd asked on here for names and he went away shaking his head and He'll be doing more of that when i paint it I need to paint flowers on the stock trailer so that no self-respecting thief would be seen dead with it........ ................. I'm also going to paint the beehives - I'm after a rainbow of those........... ..... so I'll have a go at poor old Vic as well! Thank you for all the suggestions - all very tempting, but once someone said it looked like Vic Reeves ..... One Man Banned
YAY!! I like the idea of the flower power trailer - a good idea as those type of trailers always look the same! Are the beehives going to be Eglu coloured themed too? That would look lovely! A x
Egluntyne
Actually we have a small Iseki tractor too ours is called You B*****d Funny that..we have a lawn mower with the same name. Actually that is its surname...its first initial is "F"....Him Indoors calls it by its first name and surname all the time!
Lesley
I thought I might go for more pastel shades on the hives? We're going to start with two - but only using one for the time being. Baby pink - and baby blue - I wonder what the bees will make of it or, more to the point, I wonder what the other beekeepers will make of it

The Dogmother
I had an old Mini Metro called that Egluntine Lelsey - what does Carl think of towing a trailer painted with flowers?
Lesley
Clare - you should know Carl by now! his main worry is that it will be stolen - we are right on a main road and frequently have visits from 'man and a van' asking about batteries/s"Ooops, word censored!" metal/trailers for sale...... In fact, it's usually two men and a van and whilst one is asking daft questions - and receiving very short answers - the other is eyeing up every moveable item on the farm Flower power is the least of his worries
The Dogmother
That's what I'd hoped Lesley. Like Phil, he doesn't really give a d**n. Good for him.
