Snowy
The last lot were the spice girls and I'd run out of good spicy names, so we've gone onto flowers now! Introducing ranger Marigold, Columbine Daisy, columbine Daffodil and whitestar Lily. Left to right: Marigold, Daisy on top, Lily underneath and Daffodil Getting a bit bolder: Daisy - couldn't resist her, she's such a pretty colour! Marigold: Daisy and Lily: Lily: Bo and Sage giving the newcomers the evil eye: And last but not least, the very tufty headed Daffodil (very hard to photograph, she's a busy little bird): I don't do prolonged introductions, they are all in together (lots of height and space for the young'uns to escape to) and I will let the old ones out to freerange first thing so the newbies get some peace and quiet. Fingers crossed now for eggs, especially blue ones!

Snowy
Heidis Happy Hens in Lutterworth Omletina! A new supplier at last I don't keep them seperate in case of illness - it's a bit of a risk assessment to be honest. They are the standard hybrids, recently vaccinated and all looked happy and healthy running round a field at the suppliers. I am dosing the whole flock with lifeguard tonic to give them a boost and have started them all on a course of flubenvet. I've taken hens from a friend in the past to my cost, so would not make that mistake again unless I had facilities to quarentine them as they were crawling with lice. But I haven't done with these girls.
