Unsecure chicken perches

Hi All,

 

After i got my Eglu back from my uncles the Glug had greenish dirt on the inside well i have now nearly got the lot off (took me till July ) now there's just a few areas but i cannot get it off.I've tried using a New Tooth Brush,Scrubbing bush and even some salt on a cloth but it will not come off

 

 

any tips?

Put it in the dishwasher.

I could always Squeeze through my neighbours dog flap and use hers

At the moment i'm sitting at the table s"Ooops, word censored!"ing it off with a baby knife...seems to be working and its not scratching the glug

Soak it in a solution of water and white vinegar... that works a treat!

or try soaking it in biological washing powder

I gave up on my glugs for that exact same reason... couldnt get my hand in enough to get them really clean!

I use the dishwasher for the roosting bars and grub/glubs ... if the parentals are out

or the jet wash

I'm another one who swears by white vinegar, I keep mine in a spray bottle and spray it on, leave to work its magic for 10 minutes or so and then it usually rubs off effortlessly. Also works a treat with bunny wee stains in their plastic litter trays.

I am the dishwasher in this house. My answer to everything is a bowl/bath of hot soapy water and a dollop of thin bleach for a good long soak, a scrub then a good old rinse.

I was sat at the table again for about 30 mins getting the rest off.

 

Just a bit left now (It's in the holes at the back where the hooks are) will have a go using some vinegar.
