Christmas Dinner

Recommended Posts

We aren't bothering with a starter this year, we get too full.

Just got a super piece of beef from our village butcher and a turkey crown, we will have Parmesan parsnips, sprouts with Italian ham and chestnuts, roast potatoes, yorkshires, carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower and homemade stuffing. Pud will be Christmas pudding and/or Eton mess (I just wish one year someone would cook for us.) We will follow all of this with hours of lego building - star wars and Harry P sets big ones too.

It will be strange as it is my first Christmas without my mum (she died suddenly a three months ago).

Have a good dinner everyone and Merry Christmas.

 Christmas dinner will be - crispy duck and pancakes, prawn spring rolls with filo prawns and chilli dip, rice, prawn crackers and spare ribs. OH is working nights

Boxing day however, we will have Melon with prawns and parma Ham, then turkey, spuds, carrots, pigs in blankets, sweetcorn and tenderstem brocolli. Followed by hot choc fudge cake and ice cream - if anyone can fit it in

Have a lovely Christmas everyone :D

Tonight, fresh organic gammon. Tomorrow, a bronze-feathered turkey from the local farm (where I get all my chicken bedding and chicken food) with all the trimmings including home-made chestnut stuffing, and home-made pudding. Then on Boxing Day we have a huge number of the family descending to help us eat up the cold leftovers :)

Have a lovely Christmas everybody!

We had Bucks fizz & canapes ( olives, bruschetta, parma ham)

Then smoked salmon with melba toast & marie rose sauce

Then lemon sorbet

Then turkey & all the trimmings including caramelised red cabbage!

Then pre dessert of raspberry & champagne mousse & homemade shortbread

Then I had yule log with winter fruit & rum sauce & dark chocolate star, hubby had Xmas pud.

Then coffee & petit fours

Later we had cheese & biscuits & port - plus lots & lots of wine! 8) Mince Pies & Xmas cake.

Great - because we didn't cook any of it - our fab hotel chef saw to it all. :D:dance:
