quickcluck
Has any one got these??? Would Really like to know what the sole are made from. Are they foam or rubber?? I worried about the slippyness of them
sari
I had some of the chunkier soled ones, not slippy at all, and didn't collapse in, like the cheaper Ugg-copies do..I have a funny foot, and the sole wore away, but did wear them at work, I'm on my feet all day, so I would say they lasted fairly well...I'll see if Ii can find a piccie of the kind I had.. quickcluck
Are they slippery? I am hoping they are motto narrow at the top.
Cinnamon
They don't look very grippy to me............... I bought some of these,& they are brilliant....you get a really good grip with them (I am paranoid about slipping as I had another pair which were lethal!) http://www.kiwi-sheepskins.com/detail.asp?product_id=FW030
quickcluck
They look lovely Sarah, but are a bit too 'boot' like than I was looking for..... I think maybe i'm being a tad too picky! They dont have my size (( Edited December 8, 2010 by Guest
abwsco
There are some Hush Puppy ones around that look similar to the RD ones. Am sure they were posted about on MSE at a bargain price the other day.
yvonne
Tee Hee I thought this was about Uggs for dogs (obviously out of touch with shoe brands), Had visions of my lurcher looking very trendy and warm on her next walk !
Eggasperated
I have had some of those Rocket Dog boots for several years and I really love them - I do treat them regularly with protection spray and they have kept looking really good. My OH has just bought me back some Kensington Uggs back from the US (loads cheaper there) but says I shouldn't wear them in all this snow in case I spoil them - so I shall be wearing the Rocket Dogs again this year (but I shall wear the Uggs when he's not looking )
quickcluck
Which RD's do you have?????
Omletina Kyckling
I haven't any experience of Rocket Dogs but have some chunky rubber soled Bearpaws (not the nasty crepe soled ones but chunky grippy soles) from TK Maxx which are fabulous and also some Kiwi Sheepskin Musketeer boots which have very grippy soles. In this weather I use Yaktrax on any of my boots and can walk on anything, even ice!

emmab
I have some rocket dog uggs that I bought from TK Maxx a couple of months ago. I fell on my backside in them the other day and landed in the mud! Also, the sole has come away from the boot bit. I've worn them quite a lot but not sure they should break quite so quickly. They are these ones: http://www.donaghys.co.uk/store/product/415174/RocketDog-Slush-Puppie/ Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
abwsco
I second thick soled Bearpaws and Kiwi Sheepskins. I've posted about them before as I'm on my at least my third winter in both, possibky fourth knowing how time flies.
newcountrygirl
Rocket Dogs are brilliant. I have had two pairs over the last few years. One thing i would say - depending on wat sie you are go for the kids ones - they are cheaper.

abwsco
I have these beauty's. Waterproofed and worn in deep snow in Krakow in 2007 and still really look like new. Just in case you haven't seen the pics I've posted of them before
quickcluck
Anne are those your bearpaws or kiwi's?
abwsco
Oh Kiwi's, sorry. My Bearpaws are very similar but no laces and are narrower on the leg. Amazon may have Bearpaw if that's what you're after but I would say they're sizing is small.
Omletina Kyckling
....back to the Kiwi sheepskin boots, their delivery is amazingly quick too, I ordered them on a Sunday and got them the following Thursday from NZ, just 4 days!!! Amazing. The sheepskin is much thicker and better quality that my real Uggs!!
quickcluck
........... can't get them in my size Can you wear them with dresses and leggings or trousers only? What about these, do these look slippy? http://www.kiwi-sheepskins.com/detail.asp?product_id=FW038
abwsco
........... can't get them in my size Can you wear them with dresses and leggings or trousers only? What about these, do these look slippy? http://www.kiwi-sheepskins.com/detail.asp?product_id=FW038 They'll be slippier than mine I think as they're an EVA sole. You could always get some Yaktrax or similar though for on the ice. I wear mine with leggings and skinny jeans. I'd wear them with dresses as well if I did dresses -lol I am however thinking of getting a short skirt and some thick tights but at just 48 am not sure if I'd look ridiculous Have TKMax got the Bearpaws in. They did the other week at £35.
