Leaving clothes to 'mature'!?

Recommended Posts

Firstly, sorry for the title, I couldn't think what else to call it.

Secondly, I just resurrected a cardigan to start wearing that I bought about a year ago. I put it away because it is quite distinctive and from M&S but then I saw it a couple of times on other women. I figured that as I liked it, I could put it away for quite a while by which time the other women would have worn out or got bored with their identical tops. Now I can wear it, I hope.

Not the worst thing that could happen to me I know!

On a recent flight to Tenerife there was a woman wearing the same top as me, we had a right laugh about it and complimented each other on each others great taste :D

The even funnier thing was, I saw her on the way home, and she said she had taken the top that I was wearing on holiday and nearly wore it home  now that would have been hilarious :P

The first top was from next, the second top from M&S, so it wasn't even as if they were from the same shop

Well done on saving your cardy  , I have to wear my clothes straight away if I like them, and if someone else is wearing it too, well like the Tenerife woman, they obviously have great taste too

Good for you! The restraint needed to keep something you obviously like for over a year would be beyond me  Having said that, i hate hate hate having the same clothes as other people, i know its flippant and silly but i really do hate it. I try to get a lot of my clothes from Holland when i go to visit my brother and lots of stuff online or from 'vintage' shops but I do of course get the occasional high street bargain too. My daughter once got an almost new Jane Norman coat from me because i just saw way too many people wearing it. I cant shop in that shop any more now :lol:

I have vintage clothes that I bought as a teenager, 36 now..that are back in fashion again...so I shall put them away again..untill they are fashionable again....

I hate clothes that either hage a HUGE label on.ie Jack WIlls, or are so distinctive that you can't help but know where they come from....Boden, Joules etc...I'm not a yummy mummy, and there are a lot at my school....I'm SO not part of their gang! :notalk:
