Healthy Eating Chat Part 2

Recommended Posts

:D That's terriffic Sage, well done!

Clash, your challenge seems to be making steady progress, that's really good. :D

...However, I'm still struggling, I'll have to write off May for the challenge, weight is creeping up not down!

Right, with Omleteer inspiration and motivation, I'll try and get back on track this week and do my 8 week challenge in June and July, please help me to try again!

Sage, I'm so pleased for you. :D

Wow well done Sage its quite an achievement

I've started to lose now and am down 3lb this week but a long way to go. I feel focused on eating fairly healthily and not eating stupid things between meals for the sake of it.

Teabag you are fine, new month and you are going to be back on track and the last month was just a slip. :D

Yes, that's exactly what I'll do, thanks for the motivation Clash. :D I always have a plan B, so that works for me.

Thank you for your encouragement Plum, we share the same focus. I do feel better for getting into good habits. :D

Thank you too Sage, for lifting my spirits to get me back on track. Very interested hearing about using hypnotism, those are great results. :D

Right, positive mindset, I am now looking forward to the June Resolution, thanks everyone, and all the best with yours.

:D Wow, that's excellent, very good news. It is hard to predict the succesful weeks sometimes isn't it, but you've achieved great results.

It's good to know you can have a music w/e and still stay on track, I seem to put on weight just looking at a pint of beer. :wall:

Were you using energy dancing? :P

Did a Beef Fajitas recipe yesterday evening and my healthy eating went to hell ;) But well, I can cheat sometimes, overall I'm still eating healthy (i think ;) ) So i think this didn't change a lot (except I want more! ;) )

Sounds as if portion size hard if they are that delicious. Otherwise, they look fine as part of healthy eating, I think it's really important to enjoy our food.

This week I'm making a lot of salads for either lunch or dinner, depending who is here or out, using an enormous bag of huge beef tomatoes from the market. Slicing one, I'm adding a selection from olives, mixed seeds, cucumber, rocket, spinach, lettuce and small amounts of avocado and either feta or mozarella cheeses. They are so yummy and attractive, there's no craving for bread or potatoes, and I don't feel hungry afterwards, then I have a fruit snack later.

I'm really enjoying them, it's fun dropping an item and adding another, perhaps egg or ham instead of cheese, (oh yes, I know how to have fun  ) and it can be prepared the night before for packed lunch.

Mayday Resolution week 5

Down 1lb and hit my target (7lb in 7 weeks) though peaked too soon, done it in 5 weeks. The second time since Christmas that I've been under 13 stone. (WW Target 13st 6lb).

I've been "press ganged" into Dragon Boat racing on Sunday 19 June for one of the companies that I do consultancy work for. Had 2 practice sessions on the River Severn this week, good fun but hard work. "Serious Exercise".

Also had another telling off from my Weight Watchers leader for being under my target weight (by 2lbs). She's suggesting lowering my target weight, I'm thinking that I won't go back to WW until after my holidays when I guarantee that I won't be below target.

Well done Clash, did last week go well too?

Having put the half stone that I lost straight back on, I'm really struggling not to let it creep higher, even though I am healthy eating and not bingeing. :? My metabolism must be confused, and my health is a factor, but I am finding it hard to get results.

Not giving up though! I have dropped 2 or 3 pounds again, so hope to get that initial half stone off again by the end of June, then a massive effort to get a new half stone off in July.

So, entering this week with determination and a healthy eating and exercise plan.

Where's everyone else, will you join me? :D

well done Clash you are a real star.

Must be tough Teabag not losing when you are eating healthily.

Confession time. I have stayed the same by some miracle and a lot of binging so am ready to join you. How are we going to do it. I'll need your plan but if we talk regularly I hope I can get onto healthy eating again.

Actually never left healthy eating just found unhealthy binge at the same time.

I would really, really love to lose the stone I've put on in the last year :D

What exercise are we going to do?

Anyone else joining in?

I'm still around :D I've stayed the same for a while but at least I haven't put any back on. I also struggle to lose even though my diet is fine........being menopausal doesn't help :?

I have my annual appt. with the Healthy Heart clinic Practice Nurse tomorrow - if she doesn't acknowledge my 19lb loss I may just have to kill her!

I still go to Aquafit twice a week and have been doing a lot of 'extreme weeding' - the Wii will wonder who I am if I ever turn it on again

No, just weeds that I didn't keep on top of last Autumn  .....and then Spring came early.......knee high thistles, nettles and docks. All this year's plants were started in the polytunnel and as soon as I'd weeded I had 'instant veg garden' but it's been really hard work to clear the weeds. Ragwort is the one thing we've managed to keep on top of and we had just one plant this year.

I'm in the boat in the middle, "Winning the Final by miles" !!!!

our time 1min 30.30. The second placed boat's time 1min 30.32 "Easy".

The training for this event has been some of the hardest exercise that I've ever done (inluding my time in the Army).

The weight has dropped off over the last fortnight.

I didn't go to Weight Watchers last week as I don't want my Target Weight to be reduced.

Off to Portugal for holidays this week, nine pounds under my target weight. Intending to put most of the weight back on while I'm there.

Well done winning by such a long margin! Have a great time in Portugal. Great to be able to have that weight allowance 8)

 Yes definitely, I'll join you Plum, thanks for cheering me up.

That's marvellous Clash, the lengths (geddit?) you've gone to, and what excellent results, in weight loss and rowing. The 2nd team must be kicking themselves, well done.

That's such a good plan about WW, hope you have a great holiday.

Lesley, that's great news, well done! Right, I'm feeling inspired again. :D
