Chicken boarders

Hi All

 

I guess everyone on here supports the BHWT, but I was wondering if there is such an organisation as the the anti-BHWT??

I was looking to put my four girls into a battery farm for a few days so they would realise how lucky and pampered they are at home. Then they might SHUT UP AND LET ME GET ON WITH MY OPEN UNIVERSITY ASSIGNMENT IN PEACE!!!

borstal for chickens?

I took my girls to an egg farm as 'holiday hens'. Wooden shacks, no beds, rough grass, cold showers if it rains and only one meal a day! I presume they didn't like it much as they didn't lay any eggs there.

 

I think I'll look at pet sitters next time

This has made me laugh out loud They can be an ungrateful lot can't they... I have politely asked my ex batts to tell the other girls that they don't know they are born on occasion

When I go on holiday my Girls go to Scarey Farmer Wife,, Boot camp for chooks

No grapes only pellets and out side

They love me lots after 2 weeks, being going there for 2 years now.

This has really made us laugh. OH wants to send the chickens (and me!) to the chicken borstal, and then she will go on an owner's retreat (as seen on Dog Borstal on TV).

Had to phone OH when I read this

 

New pekin had a de-mudding bath and blowdry yesterday pm. Seemed like she wanted to stay in afterwards rather than go back outside and rough it. Hopped on OH and chatted this eve when he went to check them - asking for another session?

I let my girls out this morning at about 7.45, wiped the step down from the Cube incase it was frosty, they wandered down (IN THEIR OWN TIME ) walked around the garden, hurled themselves into the kitchen for a sit down, and started chatting away. I was trying to concentrate on getting the lunches sorted, so I bribed them with some blueberries (from Waitrose.....), and when I shooed them out you would have thought I had done them a great dis-service.

So, they went up to the run, chatting as they went, and started munching on a sweetcorn cob I had put up to keep them busy during the day.

I then went back to my breakfast of half of a garlic naan bread as that was all I could find to eat.

Who has the charmed life I wonder!!!!
