Old Speckled Hen

Environmental protection office UPDATE

Recommended Posts

I was talking to MIL the other day (She is taking Flash and Top Hen for the odd weekend we go away househunting) and she said when the kids were young they used to keep banties and the odd one would disappear somewhere in the nearby railway banking and return later with little ones that looked like bumblebees :D Can you imagine, sweeeeeeeeeeeeet

Scarlett, it's a nuisance to have to do it but he doesn't seem to mind. He runs round to his hens with one wing dropped, treads a couple and then has breakfast

I'm sure you won't have anybody bother your Freckles for day time crowing.

Last weekend we were away so he and one chook stayed with MIL. She thought he was wonderful :D

I'm reading all those horror stories about aggressive cockerels and hope he's OK; he's only 9 months old. Perhaps all that handling at night and morning will remind him who's boss

He's so sweet - he's worth it, everyone cuddles him and he goes to sleep :D I bought him a couple of wives and they all get shut up together and seem quite happy in the morning :P
