chicken bark
I'm so pleased. Tonight when I shut my girls in for the night I found a perfect 54g blue egg. I got my CLBs from Raw Green Cottages in June - they were 5 weeks old. They look beautiful and now have given me a lovely blue egg in the nesting box so no messing about. I thanked them even more than usual for the eggs tonight. Edited January 20, 2011 by Guest

chicken bark
Here's a couple of photos. The likely culprits - sorry it is a photo more of their bottoms. and one of the egg in the skelter - I think it looks bluer in real life than on the photo. No idea whether I have 'good' examples of CLBs but I think they are lovely and have seen one heading into the hen house today so maybe I will have another blue egg later. I think I need a few more chickens for eggs for myself!

chicken bark
How are you going to cook them! Poached is my favourite - best way to see those lovely yolks. My OH cooked me some scrambled eggs the other day and it was only after I'd eaten it he said he'd used the first duck egg too. Yum.
