Cat at vets having tests

Recommended Posts

My lovely ginger boy is at the vets with a poorly foot. vet doesnt know if fractured and hes lost weight.(the cat not the vet - he doesnt need to  )I hope its nothing bad like kidneys or diabetes. I miss his yowley meow and his sister is restless. YS of 9 is convinced all vets put animals to sleep regardless of what they go in for  this after sick bunny was PTS last Feb. fingers crossed

Popped up to see him last night. He had a drip in his front paw and shaved areas on neck and side - lovely ginger fur gone! Despite drip and fracture he managed to get out of cage onto my knee. He was purring and soppy. Broke my heart to leave him. His op is today. His report said he;d been "swiping" - suspect he'd had a go at nurse or vet. So unlike him as hes soppy but obviously in pain and scared. My YS came and had a nose round and said "Muuuum theres a ferret in here" sure enough there was ferret in the next cage :anxious: Adv not to put his fingers in the cage  When we got home I let Sandys sister smell my hand and she licked it - she is beside herself with worry poor love. Will keep updated and thanks for kind wished everyone Ali x

He's just come out of theatre and will have to stay inside the house for 6 weeks!! he wont be happy! The injury was an old one and the vet said some animals can still run move etc with a fracture and then the pain kicks in. I think there are some vets on forum so hope one might verify that. He certainly had not limped before Weds. Hes home Monday. His sister will be pleased to see him.
