Which incubator?

Recommended Posts

I much prefer the Brinsea machines to the RCom (I have both)

The mini advance is a decent little incubator and should do the job nicely :D they also have a reasonable resale value too as spares are easy to get hold of and the build quality is good

Bear in mind if you set 6 eggs you could just end up with a few chicks some of which will be boys

If you want 6 chicks out then maybe go for the Brinsea Octagon 20 (Eco or Advance) and set 12 eggs

(but dont sue me if you then get 12 chicks that you didnt need  )

I've got one too successfully hatched 6 out of 7, 3 weeks ago followed the instructions which was a first for me there are a few things I'll do differantly next time but nothing major never worrid about the humidity untill after the last 2 eggs hatched when it turned in to condensation

ps I expected 1 to be a dud as she'd only been laying a week that one was fertile one of the other was a dud plus it had poor shell pores so I reguard it as a 100% hatch

I have a R-COM Pro 20 and find it reallt good and very easy to use. My first hatch was 11 out of 12 (eggs via post), my last hatch was 7 out of 7 (our own eggs). Even with E-Bay eggs early last year I got about 50%. It really is a case of filling up with water and pressing go.
