Cate in NZ
I've been exchanging emails with Johannes this morning, and we've confirmed that I'm going along with the Omlet team (well, Simon, I think ) to the South of England show this Sunday. I'm so excited, but just a teensy bit nervous too, and I reckon that by Sunday that'll be very nervous It should be a great day though, I hope. The weathers looking a bit unreliable, but so far the forecasts I've seen seem to suggest chilly rather than wet, so crossed fingers, I'm going to have a great time

AnnieW
Hi Kate I am hoping to visit the South of England Show on Sunday so will come and say hi. We live just down the road from there so may be able to offer our eglu and chickens for interested parties to view. We have only had it just over a week but think it's fab, our chickens are so well behaved - they don't make a sound in the morning until my son says hello to them, return quite happily into the eglu run when I have to go out and take themselves to bed at dusk. If only the children had been that easy. Look forward to meeting you Sunday. Annie
AnnieW
PS - we've also had three perfectly formed, albeit on the small side, beautiful eggs from Bergamot on Saturday, Tuesday and Friday - a regular girl!

Cate in NZ
Just to update you, I did the show on sunday and had a great time. It was just Simon & I and there was a lot of interest in the Eglu, so it was pretty much non-stop. I was exhausted at the end of it, but Simon's a great guy, not that we got too much opportunity to chat to each other really, it was all talking to customers and passers-by about chickens, rabbits, ducks and eglus I met some lovely people, I'm positive that Omlet will have got several orders from the day, and it was great to meet the Eglu owners who came by to say "hi". I think Annie W was the only forum regular I met though- great to meet you Annie Loads of people commented on how great the web-site is too- so I was directing them all to the forum, so maybe we'll have a few more trial guests now. I'd recommend doing it for a fun day out, although I'm surpised I haven't sustained a repetitive strain injury from all that opening nesting boxes and pulling out the poo tray Hopefully I'm going back again next year, maybe you could come and join us on the Omlet stand next time Annie
AnnieW
Might do that next year Kate - hopefully I'll know what I'm talking about by then. Good to meet you and put a face to the name. Annie

The Dogmother
Hi Kate Glad to hear that it went well. I nearly ended up meeting you too (was that the event in Ardingly?)- I got back from hols on Friday to an email from Johannes asking for help at the show, but I was booked up on Saturday, which was the only day they needed help - just my luck. Spoke to the lads, and I understand that this is the last show this year, but they are planning to publish a list as next year's events shape up. I said that I would be happy to help with anything within a reasonable distance. I have my little one to consider as I am on my own, but I'm sure she would love to help - she waxes lyrical abou the Eglu and chooks to anyone who will listen! Otherwise I am sure that the ex might help out with cover
