Coop light problems!

.... a 2 litre jug of milk all over the floor and the self-service counter at Sainsburys .

 

You'd have thought it was 2 gallons, the lake of milk that ensued. My trouser leg and shoe soaked up a fair bit but there was still enough to swim in .

 

Luckily, the lovely lady who mans (or should that be womans ) the self-serve bit knows me already (we always have a mutual moan at the stupid machine's "unexpected item in bagging area") so we had a bit of a laugh about it ("you're banned", "you're only allowed one pint jugs from now on", etc etc ).

 

So many staff came for a nosey you'd have thought it was the most fun they'd had all week .

 

I might do my shopping at Morrisons for a while .

Yup its happened to me with a toddler in the trolley seat and I put a 6pinter in the trolley - top was faulty and a swimming pool of milk appeared - I just stood with trolley and toddler looking gormless. Another time ES getting over chicken pox chucked up all over sainsburys floor - they were lovely - didnt go back for yrs incase I was recognised

It happened to me in Tesco, with a 4 pinter....the belt jerked and it fell off bounced on the floor and exploded upwards, all over me. It soaked me right through to my knickers

It soaked the car seat on the way home too,as they did nothing to help me mop up

Disgusting - the lack of help that is - some places are brilliant - Sainsburys insisted on cleaning up ES's vomit I was amazed at how kind they were - they should have least have given you some washing powder free - its their faulty belt afterall

The staff in Sainsburys couldn't have been nicer . One rushed off to get baby wipes and paper towels for me, another started mopping it up and a chap with a sucky machine thing was called for too .

 

I couldn't quite believe it when a bloke came up and started trying to the use self-service machine that I'd just drowned in milk. He'd failed to notice the lake on the floor and the massive puddle on the bit where you put your bags .

At least you had a friendly assistant there to help out. Have you managed to rescue your shoe? Milk does tend to linger We spilt a little from a leaking flask years ago in the boot of our estate car, it took months for the smell to go even though it was cleaned straight away

 

My most embarassing supermarket moment was the same as Ali's, YD upchucked in Waitrose, but to be fair they were lovely about it, I do remmeber it on each visit though.
