Gertie
I finally managed to have a lie in this morning - until 8am. When I came down to feed the cats, I found...Mogu inspecting and leaving the scene of the crime. Do you think the cats were trying to punish me for feeding them later or maybe jealous of the chickens What a mess and a waste of good eggs! I don't know how it could have got knocked off as it is kept on an enclosed shelf! Cats are amazing!
Olly
Oh no - what a disaster, but what a brilliant picture! I'd be crying if I'd lost that many eggs. It is amazing where cats will get to though, isn't it - the muddy footprints sometimes give them away!
Egluntyne
Oh heck!
Ain't Nobody Here
What a shame . At least your cat can't deny he was the culprit .
beach chick
I love that cat! "quick, if I just jump down HERE, she'll probably think it was the dog!"

The Dogmother
love it! My dogs would have cleaned up the evidence though
Gertie
It's a shame I couldn't have borrowed your dogs for the cleanup!
bellekatz
Looks familiar. I have given up with the skelter as Alfie my BIG cat loved hooking the eggs off and knocking them on the floor. the skelter was always left in place. Do you think they would make a cat proof skelter as my little box holds nowhere near as many
Reikiranf
What a shame, all those lovely eggs When DH put an egg on the worktop and it rolled off, our kitten cleaned the floor for us, but she forgot to put the shell in the compost bin
Gertie
Well I hope it won't happen again. I've managed to knock several off myself! My kitty didn't seem to want to try any herself, just create a mess and run away!!
Reikiranf
Did you put cat litter over it? I always do that with yucky spillage on hard floors, I then make a cuppa and sit down to give the litter time to absorb the yuckiness and then sweep it up. The Dogmother
Someone on here (might have been Snowy?) had small boys who loved to race the eggs down the skelter
Gertie
Oh, that's a good idea (cat litter on the spillage, not eggskelectrix!). Reminds me of sawdust on sick at school...sorry!! I'm always spilling things so will have to remember that
